Helpful Information

Familiarizing yourself with the following information will help both you and our practitioners to maximize the effectiveness of your session.  If you have any questions, please feel free to discuss them with us.


Sessions are by appointment only and can be arranged by telephone or in person (we do not offer online booking at this time).  If you are redeeming a gift certificate, please let us know at the time you schedule your appointment.  Although same-day appointments are sometimes available, we strongly recommend that you schedule appointments as far in advance as possible – especially if you wish to see a particular practitioner on a specific date and time.  We encourage you to book sessions with any of our practitioners, as each has a different style of working.  By being comfortable working with more than one practitioner, it is often easier to schedule appointments at times that are most convenient to you.

We often schedule sessions consecutively, so we urge you to be prompt, as we are not able to extend your session beyond your scheduled time.  In the event you are late for your appointment, the full fee or value of gift certificate covers your scheduled session length or any portion thereof.


Medical Status Note:

There are certain medical conditions under which massage is contraindicated (should not be performed).  If you are under a physician's care, please consult with your physician in advance of your session to confirm that therapeutic massage is an appropriate addition to your current health care program.


Cancellations and No-shows

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your appointment.  If you fail to appear for an appointment that you have not previously cancelled or rescheduled, after the third occurrence, we will not be able to schedule you for future sessions.  If you fail to appear for an appointment for which a gift certificate is being redeemed, the gift certificate will be considered redeemed.


Client Questionnaire

During your initial office visit, you will be asked to complete a brief confidential questionnaire.  This will provide important health information that will help our practitioners to tailor your session to your greatest benefit.



We suggest you refrain from eating a large meal within one hour of your session.  If possible, a shower prior to your session will provide a more comfortable massage experience.


Your modesty and privacy will be respected at all times.  Draping (covering with sheets and blankets) is used with all clients during all sessions.  As a specific area of the body is being addressed, the draping will be adjusted to expose only that area.  Undergarments, gym shorts or bathing suits may be worn if desired;  We urge you to do what is most comfortable for you.  If you have specific concerns, please discuss them with us prior to or during your session.

Insurance Reimbursement

Some health insurance plans reimburse for therapeutic massage.  We do not process claims for insurance reimbursement, nor do we accept insurance assignment.  If you intend to have your health insurance provider cover the cost of our services, upon payment in full from you, we will provide you with a Statement of Services which you can submit to your insurance provider for direct reimbursement.

Service Exceptions

We reserve the right to cancel a session if alcohol or recreational drug use is evident, if we feel your conduct is inappropriate, or if we believe the session would be contraindicated by a qualified health care program.


To ensure a successful and comfortable session, it is important that you communicate with your practitioner the need for adjustments in pressure, technique, draping, temperature or other elements of your session that pertain to your comfort and safety.


Gift certificates are available for any of our services or for any dollar amount toward services. Please call us in advance to arrange for the purchase and pick-up of gift certificates.
